Up to 25 cups of coffee a day does not seem to be harmful to your heart

Some people in this last group drank up to 25 cups a day, although the average in that group was five cups per day.

All study participants underwent cardiac magnetic resonance imaging examinations, and the results remained solid even after factors such as age, weight and smoking status were taken into account. As explained by the researcher Kenneth Fung:

While we cannot demonstrate a causal link in this study, our research indicates that coffee is not as bad for arteries as previous studies would suggest.

The effects of coffee will have to be studied with larger and more diverse groups to offer general advice in one direction or another. Coffee contains several stimulants, such as caffeine, whose consequences on the body are still unclear.
