This algorithm serves to predict where the eyes look and apply it in robotics

A algorithm to anticipate the areas of an image to which a viewer will direct their gaze, in addition to reducing their excess information, has been developed by researchers at the Singular Research Center in Information Technology, in Santiago de Compostela. This model of visual attention could be applied by some advertising companies in their ads, as you can see in the video that heads this post.

The visual attention model Adaptive Whitening Saliency (AWS) is an algorithm developed by researchers from the Singular Center for Research in Information Technology (CiTIUS) to respond to the problem of excess information in the field of robotics. The visual representation of this result is called 'salience map' and shows the most attractive areas for the viewer, as confirmed by different experimental studies conducted with humans.
